All guarantees are made to the original purchaser only and do not extend to the subsequent purchasers.
We are proud to stand by our doors, and we have no hesitation in offering a conditional 10-year guarantee for our standard internal timber doors against faulty materials or workmanship. Should one of our doors be found to be defective upon delivery or develop a fault due to faulty materials or workmanship within 10 Years of delivery, at our discretion we will offer the original purchaser the option of repair, replacement or refund.
If at the time a door delivery is received, a door is found to have a defect which can reasonably be discovered by inspection of each door, the receiver of the door must, prior to hanging or fitting, and within 24 hours of delivery, send written notice of the defect to Doors & Doors.
All doors should be fully inspected prior to altering or fitting. Any work on the door shall constitute acceptance. If a fault, rather than a defect develops after the door is fitted, written notice of the fault must be sent to Doors & Doors within ten years from date of delivery.
No claim will be honoured unless an authorised representative of Doors & Doors performs a site inspection (at the discretion of the company).
If guaranteed doors are found to contain defects/faults as stated herein, Doors & Doors, at our option will either; repair defective/faulty door, replace defective/faulty door or refund to the original owner the amount originally paid to Doors & Doors for the returned defective/faulty door.
This guarantee does not cover any other charges incurred such as labour for removal of a defective door, rehanging of new and/or replacement door, transportation to and from site, or reimbursement for any other work/service not originally supplied by Doors & Doors.
Further details of this conditional guarantee, and details of limitations and exclusions can be requested from Doors & Doors.
We are proud to stand by our doors, and we have no hesitation in offering a conditional 10-year guarantee for our standard hardwood and oak and external timber doors against faulty materials or workmanship. Should one of our doors be found to be defective upon delivery or develop a fault due to faulty materials or workmanship within 10 Years of delivery, at our discretion we will offer the original purchaser the option of repair, replacement or refund.
All external hardwood and oak doors including our M & T and Dowelled ranges are veneered onto a solid core. They are therefore not suitable for use in locations subject to becoming wet or in very sunny conditions. We are unable to offer any warranty for these doors unless they are fully protected by a substantial porch or canopy. We do offer a comprehensive range of GRP, Composite and Bespoke Timber Doorsets that are more suited to these conditions. If you are in any doubt, please call us to discuss this topic with one of our door specialists.
When storing a door prior to installation, do not lean or stand the door as it will encourage the door to twist or bow. Always store the door laying level and flat resting on support timbers.
It is important that our Installation & Finishing Guidelines are followed to keep within the warranty.
For products in our Bespoke Timber Doorset range we provide a guarantee against factory defects for 5 years on painted finishes and 3 years on stained finishes and an extensive product maintenance guide which gives all the technical information required to look after your products for years to come. Timber will last a lifetime if it is maintained properly. The timber is all very high quality sourced from FSC managed forests. The factory is audited regularly and this includes quality checks on timber grade, moisture content and storage under the BSI Kitemark scheme. The timber products are finished with a Sikkens microporous paint which is suitable for external use in typical UK conditions. To keep within the warranty the door(s) and frame will need to be regularly inspected and maintained in accordance with our Bespoke Timber Doorset maintenance guidelines. For exposed weather or coastal positions more frequent maintenance is required. All our ironmongery and glass is guaranteed for ten years on all products. Our aluminium products have a ten-year powder coating guarantee.
We provide full fitting and adjustment instructions with all of our products and provided they're fitted and maintained correctly the full warranty will apply.
Products from our Bespoke Composite Doorset range come with a 10 year guarantee for the door panel against bowing, delaminating or colour changes. The locks and hardware are covered against mechanical failure for 1 year. Minimal maintenance is required to keep the door and locks free of a build up of dirt and dust. We provide detailed instructions with these doorsets and provided they are fitted and maintained correctly the full guarantee will apply.
